Changelog
Comic Scry is built in the open, mostly by one person, and it gets a little sharper most weeks. Here's the trail — the same notes that ship with each App Store update, kept in one place.
1.0.6 — You can feel it
June 2026
- Haptics. Every scan lands with weight in your hand — a soft tap for a bulk book, a real buzz when you turn up a key. The treasure moment finally has a feel.
- Search your collection by issue. Type "x-men 2" and land right on it.
- Sharper reads on busy covers. Better issue-number detection on barcoded and cluttered books.
- Polished share cards.
1.0.5 — Sharper eyes
June 2026
- The right printing. Much better at telling editions apart now — a 1991 X-Men #2 won't get mistaken for the 1963 one. Relaunches and reprints especially.
- Truer values. A standard copy gets priced as a standard copy, not dragged up by rare-variant sales sitting in the same data.
- Scan anyway. Bright, glare-heavy, fire-on-the-cover books used to get blocked. Now you can push past the warning and scan.
- Steadier on spotty signal. A scan shrugs off a dropped connection instead of bailing to an error.
1.0.4 — Real prices
June 2026
- Live, real values. The Scry Value now comes from recent real-market sales — no more bundled guesses. Slabbed (graded) books get a value for the grade on the label, not a vague range.
- "Which edition?" When a cover doesn't print its year and more than one printing exists, Comic Scry asks instead of guessing.
- A heads-up when we don't know yet. If a book's price isn't ready when you scan, Comic Scry pings you once when it's worked out — no setup, and that's the only one you'll get for it.
- Stats & trophies. A new tab for scan streaks, your top find, and a shelf of things to unlock.
1.0.2 — A fresh coat
June 12, 2026
- A top-to-bottom visual refresh built on iOS's new Liquid Glass, plus a batch of identification-accuracy fixes under the hood.
1.0 — Hello, world
June 2026
- Comic Scry launches. Point your phone at any cover and get a tier — Bulk to Major — and a value range to triage by. Five scans free; Comic Scry Pro unlocks the rest.
